The STAR (Samson Tactical Accessory Rail) forend system puts four, MIL-STD 1913 rails up front to provide plenty of space for mounting lights, lasers, optics, vertical grips, bipods, quick-detach sling swivels, and other accessories. White, etched alpha-numeric slot markings help you make sure accessories get reinstalled in the right locations after temporary removal. Large, S-shaped vent slots ensure plenty of airflow to keep barrel and forend cool, even during sustained fire. Two-piece design easily replaces factory handguards without removing front sight/gas block. Precision machined from 6061 T6 aluminum alloy; hardcoat anodized for extra strength with a wear-resistant, non-reflective, matte black finish. Two-piece, four-rail forend is a direct replacement for factory plastic M4 carbine handguard. Provides the versatility and appearance of a railed handguard with no need to remove Delta ring or make any permanent alterations to rifle. Simply remove the plastic guard and snap the STAR-DI in its place. Bottom rail may be left off to allow clearance for M203 grenade launcher.
