Special "Medium" Contour Gives Extra Rigidity To Improve Accuracy Potential
Button-rifled replacement barrel has a heavier contour in front of the op rod guide than a standard “medium” weight barrel for added rigidity that enhances accuracy potential. Compatible with any receiver built to USGI specs, including Springfield Armory and LRB Arms receivers and is legal for high-power service rifle matches. Carbon steel model comes fully chambered, with a chrome-lined bore and black Parkerized finish. Stainless steel model is short-chambered; after installation, use a hand-turned finish reamer to deepen the chamber until correct headspace is reached. Both models come with a new-design op rod guide that matches the barrel contour and doesn’t contact the handguard, eliminating a pressure point that can reduce accuracy. Knurled guide seat on barrel. Recommended roll pin is #817-000-072. May require minor stock inletting. Requires gunsmith installation.
