Maintaining the correct temperature when casting lead bullets is critical for smooth pouring and getting uniform, consistent finished bullets free of imperfections. The Brownells high-temp thermometer measures a range of 200° to 1,000° Fahrenheit in 10° increments and is specifically designed for use in lead casting pots, as well as hot bath solutions and Nitre bluing. The adjustable bracket clips to the edge of the casting pot so you can position the thermometer for constant monitoring.
