Followers are manufactured from a special non-stick, self-lubricating, low co-efficient of friction polymer. The computer designed Follower incorporates special flow channels that redirect sand, grit, and carbon instead of trapping the dirt and jamming the magazine. The Follower rides on minimized points of contact thus greatly decreasing the surface areas where sand, grit and carbon residue can cause lesser followers to malfunction and fail, (especially when using suppressors or when engaged in full auto fire). The only Follower that accepts both the traditional magazine springs and the improved springs now being used. The Follower incorporates a positive bolt catch feature which ensures that the slide carrier and bolt are held open after the last round is fired.
NOTE: These are replacement followers for USGI-style aluminum 30 round magazines (See SPECS for difference between Standard/red and Deluxe/brown).
SPECS: The red, "Standard Usage followers" are manufactured from an especially lubricious polymer and is designed to provide years of smooth stick free service. The standard usage followers are excellent for most applications.
The cloudy brown, "Deluxe Followers" are manufactured from a Teflon impregnated polymer and are made for use in especially dusty and sandy environments or in situations where suppressor are often used. The cloudiness in appearance color is a byproduct of the Teflon impregnation of the material.
