Upgrade kit from master pistolsmith Ed Brown contains four key, match-proven components that can make your 1911 easier to operate and more controllable. Ed’s famous Memory Groove Grip Safety drops the gun lower in the hand to help with recoil control and fast follow up shots. The extended Tactical Thumb Safety and magazine catch are easier to reach and offer a more positive feel than the standard factory controls. The slide stop is machined to maximum dimensions to provide a tight fit and lockup. Kits available for Colt Series 70 and Series 80 pistols and colones. Grip safety requires frame alteration and Commander-style hammer; thumb safety requires fitting. Installation by a gunsmith is recommended.
