Stop "After Bluing" Salts Bleed-Out
Soaking the gun for 30 minutes in a 5% solution of B.O.N. and
water (6 oz. to the gal.) between the cold and hot water rinse
following bluing, will neutralize any residual salts and prevent this
unsightly and damaging bleed-out - that white ring showing where
barrel and frame join, around ribs, ramps or sights, and
occasionally around milled-out sections in the receiver. Operates
at 130° to 150° F. Use in regular type bluing tank.
One gallon of mixed solution will do several guns. Can be carried
over.
