Constant Pressure To Hold Where You Want It- How You Want It
The stretchiest, pullingest, self-tightening clamp you can
buy…Pure Gum Surgical Latex Tubing! Wrapped around a
split gun stock, it will draw the glue line so thin it looks like part of
the grain, with no "clamp marks" in the wood and no slipping or
pulling-off of the joint. For holding all irregular surfaces it is
unsurpassed - gluing, forming, jigging, aligning - use the Pulling
Power of surgical tubing. (It also makes excellent slingshot
rubbers.)
Use no knots. Tuck over one end and wrap over it, as shown,
when pulling the tube around the part being held. Make the final
tuck as shown. A small wedge or wood dowel simplifies making
this final tuck. Guaranteed to hold!
Choate's Rifle Shop, Palmdale, CA., reports, "I have been using my
piece of tubing for 8 years and repaired stocks split end-to-end
using ACRAGLAS®. It will stick to
ACRAGLAS®, but pulls right off with no
damage to the tubing. Use it for forend tips, grip caps, cracked and
split stocks …"
Stocked in 2 weights. Type A is for light, multiple wrap jobs. Type B
is for long pull or where greater tension is desired.
