Refinishes, Refurbishes, Protects & Beautifies All Varieties Of Wood Military Rifle Stocks
Deep-penetrating finishing oil is specially formulated to protect wood military rifle stocks from the elements, while bringing out the natural beauty of the grain in everything from USGI walnut and birch to European hardwoods. When correctly applied, following the easy instructions on the can, Military oX will bring out the luster of a refinished Garand, M1 Carbine, Springfield ’03A3, Enfield, Mauser, M48, SKS, or other wood-stocked rifle that requires an oil finish. Made from the same organic oils that have been used for generations in stock finishing, blended with modern curing agents and solvents, so it penetrates into the wood on a molecular level to provide a thin, durable oil finish with no surface build-up. Cures completely for superior, long-lasting protection and beauty. Not a lacquer, varnish, or poly-clearcoat that sits on the surface and doesn’t look correct on a period military rifle, and eventually cracks, chips, or peels over time. Most effective when applied to the bare wood of a new stock or on a completely stripped original, pre-sanded with 180-grit paper. Can also be used to clean built-up grease and grime from an original finish without altering the aged patina or color of a collectible stock. Repairs surface scratches, scrapes, and scuffs seamlessly and invisibly: just rub a little fresh Military oX into the affected area with 320-400 grit wet-or-dry sandpaper. Let it sit 15 minutes, then rub it dry with a clean paper towel or rag—it’s ready to go. A properly prepared stock can be finished in a couple hours, ready to reassemble and shoot. Apply multiple coats to deepen the tones; more Military oX can be applied at a later date, even if the stock has been waxed.
