The magazine is extremely rough. The finish is like truck bed liner and doesn't allow rounds to be fed properly. Filling it to full capacity is a difficult task, and getting it to feed is an impossible one. Overrated compared to other magazines. [...]I've seen other 40-round mags that work, and it was a surprise that this one did not. The shiny steel follower, thick black paint on the mag, a poorly designed spring contribute to a generally sloppy design that's out of character for CMMG.

I originally ordered 13 mags...only 2 fed/worked reliably out of the box. 6 had to be 'tweaked' by adjusting the magazine spring (turned 180 degrees)
remaining 5 would simply not feed/work reliably and were returned for credit. Stainless follower simply too tight in the mag box and did not 'track/follow ' interior of mag box smoothly. Inside of feed lips were rough and really gouged brass. Not reliable enough to trust your life on without testing first cause I'm a narco/vice cop. I wouldn't recommend these mags to anyone I care about. I tested these mags by cycling them through 2 different M-4's for at least 4 times each,only loading them to 40 rds. not 42 rds. I was disappointed to say the least !

I've shot a bunch of 3 gun/carbine matchs with this mag. Never had a problem, I do load it with a Lula and get in a full 42 rounds.

Have one mag...already have others on order. The one I have is extremely difficult to load anywhere near the claimed capacity. maybe a bad mag...will wait for the others and write another review based on further experience....makes me question the reliabilty in a serious situation!
