Comments about GG&G, INC. GGG-1084 REM. FRONT SLING MOUNT:
I have this front sling mount attached to my service 870. It fits snugly between the barrel and the separation point on the magazine tube. Since I have installed it, it has not caused the magazine tube to slip the threads back. The only downside is where the sling attaches to it, the corners are not rounded. This may eventually lead to wear and tear on the sling.
