Comments about S&K SCHMIDT RUBIN K31 INSTA SCOUT MOUNT:
I have used this mount on a K-31 for about two years now. This is a mount for "scout mounting" a scope, forward of the receiver. I have used a Leupold FXII Scout Scope (2.5 x 28), and a 2X Nikon pistol scope with great success. That's the good. The bad, and not really that bad, is the fact that even with the lowest rings I can find this mount is still high. Instead of a cheek weld, I developed a chin weld; until I installed a cheek piece on the stock. Now it is perfect. Accurate enough to impress the fat guy in the camo pants shooting next to you at the range with his over priced AR. Groups 1" or smaller at 100 yards.
