This is the new design that replaces the old two-piece design for the Remington 1100 and 11-87 12 Ga. shotguns. This newly designed assembly looks to be much better than the old two-piece system. The new design may come in two pieces when you receive it but the two pieces snap together to become a one-piece assembly. I've just installed mine on my 1100 but have not shot the shotgun yet.
