Hollow base gives you full vision of factory, barrel-mounted sights for closer shots, or if your scope becomes damaged. Clearance cut ensures proper ejection. Accepts Weaver-style rings. AR-15 Short has Weaver-style rail. AR-15 Long is Picatinny configuration.
