Machined steel brake has four V-shaped side ports that direct combustion gases up and to the sides to counteract muzzle rise and keep barrel stable during sustained fire. Fits any AR-type rifle chambered in .223/5.56mm NATO with standard ½"-28 tpi muzzle threads. Outside threads enable quick attach/detach of sound suppressors that fit 24mm x 1.5mm threads, including the Wilson Combat Quick-Detach Suppressor (not included). Hex nut flats on the brake enable fast, secure installation and removal and provide a “backstop” to help seal the suppressor and prevent gas leakage.
