Fully assembled upper receiver comes decked out with top-of-the-line Daniel Defense tactical accessories, ready to install on a mil-spec lower receiver. Every Daniel Defense Upper Receiver is test fired before it leaves the factory to ensure correct fit and function. A4-type flattop receiver is machined from a high-quality 7075 T6 aluminum forging, with M4-style feed ramps. Bolt and carrier group has a chrome-lined carrier and is magnetic-particle inspected to ensure there are no hidden flaws. Omega X free-float handguards have four MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rails with slots indexed with white letters and numbers for precise positioning and remounting of accessories. MFR free float handguard on select models allows for modular attachment of various accessories. Textured nylon vertical grip clamps to the handguard bottom rail. Detachable, windage adjustable A1.5 Rear Sight clamps to the top rail and has a flip-type aperture with separate peeps for short- and long-range targeting. 16" barrels are cold hammer forged from ordnance-grade steel for exceptional strength, with a chrome-lined bore, 5.56mm NATO or 300 Blackout chamber, 1-7"or 1-8” (300) right-hand rifling, and a standard A2 “bird cage” flash suppressor. A2-style “F marked” front sight/gas block has a standard, elevation-adjustable A2 post; includes sling swivel and bayonet lug. Models with the handguard extending over the gas block feature a Daniel Defense low profile gas block and a Daniel Defense fixed front sight.
