The A.R.M.S. #50 M-CV S.I.R. System is the most advanced handguard system in the world and was awarded a contract from the Crane NSWC for use by U.S. Special Forces. It is the lightest system available on the market weighing in at only 8.6 oz and is designed for use with the Carbine length 5.56 cal. Its unique design offers quick installation and is totally free floating. Features include perfect alignment with the receiver via built in alignment anti-rotation locking tabs, Q.D. indirect air flow heat shield, super cool offset heat venting, and a solid platform for integral upgrades and other mounting devices. When installing, no special tools are required and the front sight, gas tube, front handguard retaining cap, barrel, and standard barrel nut do not need to be removed or replaced. It also offers selective rails at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions which can be exchanged, repaired, or replaced without removing the top main rail.
