Clamp to MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rails to provide backup sighting for almost any tactical or competition application. Easy to actuate, spring-loaded mechanism, with a positive lock that prevents folding the sight until you hit the release button. Includes standard, A2 front post, detent, and spring, with full elevation adjustment. Sight bodies are machined from billet aluminum or steel for extra strength, with hardened detents and hinge pins for durability. Protective ears guard the sight post from impact, and all edges have been dehorned to protect the shooter. All-aluminum Forearm model is correct height for proper sight alignment when mounted on a tactical forearm or on a gas block that is the same height as the upper receiver. Sight body folds rearward. Aluminum Gas Block model has taller overall height for mounting to railed gas block. Same command height as the original AR15/M16 front sight for proper regulation with USGI-style rear sights. Folds forward to avoid interfering with large-diameter forearms. Steel Gas Block model mounts to gas block rail, and deployed height of the post is the same as an A2 front sight. All-steel construction for extra strength to handle extreme operating conditions. Bead-blasted and manganese-phosphated for a corrosion-resistant, non-reflective matte black finish.
