It’s great for touching up worn, rusted, nicked, or scratched factory bluing because it only sticks to the damaged areas, and leaves the good bluing unaffected. The “stop and start” feature allows you to go back and add coats of bluing before the developer sets, for a deeper, darker finish. The unique process does not use oxidation. Instead, it embeds micronized gold, silver, nickel, copper, and chromium onto the gun’s metal. Experiment for a variety of possible finishes. Gun Blue produces a color that matches many factory hot blue finishes. Gun Black produces a finish that’s a deep, dark black.
