  • Drop-In Cylinder Converts Cap & Ball Revolvers To Fast-Loading, Cartridge Guns
Six-shot conversion cylinders provide black powder enthusiasts an economical way to switch from percussion to centerfire in steel-framed, Ruger Old Army or 1858 Remington reproductions. Heat-treated, 4140 steel cylinder slides into place easily. Slight gap between cylinder and breech plate provides clear, visual inspection while loading; straight-line bore ensures chambers are properly aligned straight with the barrel. Ruger Old Army features a full, 6-shot cylinder chambered for .45 Long Colt and .45 Schofield rounds; available in blue finish. 1858 Remington is a polished blue, Safety Cylinder™ that provides five, “live round” chambers, plus a sixth, unloadable, “hammer down” chamber. Indexes and locks up on all six chambers to meet S.A.S.S. requirements for a 6-shot revolver. For .45 Long Colt/.45 Schofield. Fits current production Pietta and Uberti 1858 Remington, New Army Model reproductions. No FFL required to purchase. For use with black powder or equivalent loads. Not for use in brass frame revolvers or .36 caliber guns!
