A really nice replacement for all those hard rubber and plastic
ones. Made of special material that has look, feel and heft of
original hard rubber plates. Solid back construction makes grinding
easier to fit a narrow stock. Not drilled or counterbored, so you
can match existing holes, or relocate for best fit and looks. Heating the butt plate in boiling water makes it flexible, so it can be shaped to the curvature of your stock. Just hold in
place on stock with sandbag until it cools. Final sand with 600
Wet/Dry paper, wipe with rubbing compound and finish with
stock
sheen. For high gloss, buff with 555
