Specially formulated; the molecules of oil actually displace the molecules of water still on the surface of the gun as it comes out of the final hot water rinse. Gives the gun a completely protected surface, ensuring your time spent on polishing and bluing will not be spoiled by rust under the oil. Also a superior rust preventive which neutralizes fingerprints, body acids and oils from handling and shooting. Provides a protective film with that proper "oiled and protected" feel preferred by many serious shooters and gun people. The standard by which other "after-bluing" oils are judged.
