Precision-manufactured barrels have the original factory contour on the outside for a drop-in installation and are rifled with a 1-7" twist to help stabilize heavy bullets used for long-range shooting. Machined from weapon-grade chrome-moly steel alloy, stress-relieved, and chrome lined for a long bore life. Chambered for 5.56 NATO for use with both mil-spec and commercial .223 ammo. M4-type feed ramps on the pre-installed barrel extension help ensure reliable feeding. Muzzle is pre-threaded to accept a ½"-28 tpi flash hider, compensator, or muzzle brake. Compact M4 model is 16" long and features USGI profile with grenade launcher cut and pre-installed front sight tower/gas block with bayonet lug and sling swivel. Barrel nut included. HBAR matches contours of original HBAR barrel with 18" overall length and .875" O.D. under the handguard for extra rigidity to resist heat distortion. Gas port is pre-drilled.
