Master Lines For Checkering

This is my way of creating the master lines for your checkering projects. I have a 5X magnifier on an extension arm. Take a straight line laser (used for making a line on the wall while hanging pictures) and place it on top of the 5X magnifier with duct tape. Draw out your 4 corner box, place your work piece in the box and shoot the corners with the laser light. It’s easy to see the line and knife point on your work piece. Mark the end points with your exacto knife (the knife point will gleam with the light) Break out your straight edge. Your line is laser straight.
