Brownells^® Introduces New Floatation Model To Its Signature Line of Premium Gun Cases

Designed to float safely with a rifle or shotgun inside, Brownells new Signature Floatation Case keeps expensive firearms from going to the bottom in the event they are accidentally lost overboard or dropped while wading out to a blind. “Adding floatation to an already top-of-the-line case design is our way of giving gun owners more peace of mind,” Frank Brownell, company president, said. “Inside and out, this is a ‘go-anywhere’ case that can deliver extra protection, durability and ease of use under the roughest conditions.”

Brownells new Signature Floatation Case features four-layer construction: On the outside, an ultra-tough shell of Cordura Plus nylon sheds moisture and is nearly impervious to being punctured or cut during rough handling or transport. This is bonded to a layer of closed-cell foam which provides ample buoyancy for flotation and enhances the cushioning of an inner layer of open-cell foam. Finally, a lining of tightly woven brushed nylon tricot prevents scratches to bluing and eliminates snagging. A padded interior flap is also provided to cover the butt of the firearm for added protection and security.

To ensure it can easily accommodate long-range scopes and large objective lenses the Signature Floatation Case provides extra height — 12″ (30.4cm) — from the buttstock to the middle area, then tapers to 5″ (12.7cm) at the muzzle. Quick, secure access is assured by two heavy-duty, quick-release polymer buckles with adjustable straps. On one side of the case, a handy zippered pocket — 8.5″ (21.6cm) long x 5″ (12.7cm) x 2′ (5.8cm) deep — provides extra room for ammo and other essentials. A clear window on one pocket is sized to accept a business card or other identification. For carrying ease, sturdy, wraparound handles of industrial-grade nylon webbing are securely stitched to the case. D-rings at each end of the case allow attachment of a sling strap.
