233 Shooters Take Home Prizes From The 6th Annual DPMS/Brownells Tri-Gun Challenge
All 233 shooters made a trip to the huge, $200,000 prize table and all walked away with prizes at least equal to their entry fee. $22,000 cash was awarded to the top three shooters in each of the five classes.
Brownells president Pete Brownell said, “The Tri-Gun Challenge is a great match and I’m honored that Randy Luth and his great crew at DPMS have let us be a part of it from the beginning. The best 3-gun shooters all show up and it’s incredible to watch them work.”
The shooters that “worked” best over the three days and won their classes were: Tate Moots, Tactical Optics Heavy; Kurt Miller, Tactical Iron; Eddie Rhodes, Heavy Metal; Tony Holmes, Open; and Daniel Horner, Tactical Optics.
When told Tech Support Staff member Monty Crain had placed 7th in Heavy Metal and won a gun, Brownells Chairman/CEO, Frank Brownell quipped, "You mean, 'our Monty Crain'? Boy, I know he is one heck of a great tech, but he can shoot at that level too? WOW - That's Great!!"
Sunday’s Team Match was won by the DPMS team with a very fast 44 second time.
