Last month I reviewed some of the books available from Brownells. This month, I’d like to take a look at the fine video offerings we have for you. From gunsmithing courses to how-to videos on cowboy shooting, there are videos on what interests you. Take a look at some of the gems I have found from Brownells Video Vault!
AMERICAN GUNSMITHING INSTITUTE SERIES - #050-120-306, #050-120-103
The folks at AGI have produced an extensive set of videos on many popular firearms. These videos are incredibly detailed and cover everything from building complete firearms to fine-tuning competition pistols. Topics like trigger jobs on M1 Garand rifles, making springs, pillar bedding techniques, how to parkerize, and tuning a Colt SAA for Cowboy Action Shooting show how varied this series is. No matter whether you are a hobbyist or a professional gunsmith, the American Gunsmithing Institute videos are a treasure-trove of information. Brownells has over 60 different titles available, and we’re sure that you’ll benefit from watching and learning from these videos, no matter what your skill level is.
EVIL ROY SHOOTING SCHOOL SERIES - #100-002-216
One of the most well-known names in Cowboy Action Shooting, Evil Roy (aka Gene Pearcey) shares his insights on successful shooting to both beginners and veterans alike. His three video series covers pistol, rifle, and shotgun shooting, and shows you how to improve your speed, accuracy, and target transition. With over 12 years of competition and having never placed lower than 9th in competition, Evil Roy can teach ya’ll a thing or two about shootin’!
THE BURNER SERIES
If USPSA, IDPA and IPSC shooting is more your style, Jerry Barnhart’s video series shows you the tips, techniques, and equipment that “The Burner” has used to win many competitions. In eleven volumes, Jerry gives you the nuts and bolts of competitive shooting, and shows you the drills that will help you improve your confidence and efficiency. Everything from weak hand draw to physical fitness are fully covered and clearly explained. Chris Willardson and Chris Orndorff show you everything you need to properly maintain your SIG SAUER handgun. With the gaining popularity of this firearm, you can get a head start on the competition or brush up on your skills with this comprehensive video.
