December WebBench - 2004
Whew! What a year we’ve had and I can’t believe that it’s almost over. It’s gone by fast and I can’t thank you enough for being our loyal, and very knowledgeable customers. And, I’m just pleased as-all-get-out at the response we’ve had from all of you.

Can hardly believe we’re just a month away from the Christmas holidays. Which means Thanksgiving is right now! Really a big family event, and a great time to think about all the things that I’m truly thankful for this year. I guess most of all it's having family around, and good health... and the simple fact that I’ve been able to do a lot more shooting this year than I've done in years past.

October WebBench - 2004
Wham, Slam, and it's almost late October already! The weather here in Iowa took a dramatic shift recently from fairly comfortable to downright cold, rainy, and just plain miserable at times. Definitely hunting weather and an exciting time of the year for all of us here at Brownells.

Wow - summer is officially over, and here we are at fall again. Must have been a great summer, the speed at which it raced by!! Seems it was just the "other day" when I began looking forward to getting back out to shoot after a long, cold winter and now hunting season is already here!!

This is a big election year - know what the candidates - local city, State and Federal say, think - and VOTE - on issues involving hunting and our shooting sports. It's the voting record that does it for me. When the hand goes up for the record, not what they promise in a stump speech.

I've been talking about the new catalog for the last couple of WebBench™ issues, and couldn’t wait until the big #57 catalog arrived here in the office. Well … it’s in and it’s bigger and better than ever.

April WebBench - 2004
Just got back from the 133rd NRA Annual Meeting And Exhibits in Pittsburgh, PA, where we saw lots and lots of you folks. A great show - GREAT SHOW, with largest attendance for a long time - numbers of 60,000 good folks attending were discussed, but I didn't hear final numbers. The place was full of enormous energy and excitement.

I was reminded again just how the shooting sports are as much a "way of life" as they are a sport. I guess that is one of the things I love most about this whole thing with guns -- if you're not comparing notes with a customer or another shooter, you're talking guns and calibers and loads or shooting at the range.

Thanks for all the great comments you sent along about last month's brand new format and content in WebBench™! Thought we'd come close to hitting home with it – but until you told us you liked it, we weren't really sure!!

February WebBench - 2004
A couple of months ago I told you we would be coming out with a brand new WebBench! And, we made it! Without puffing our chest too much, I think it's a great improvement – hope you do to.
